PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS
The most important part of your cat’s care is the ANNUAL physical examination. 
Cats over 6 years of age should be examined TWICE A YEAR.

TOTAL PARASITE PREVENTION
1.     Intestinal Parasite check (fecal exam) TWICE A YEAR (stool specimen to the vet.)
2.     Apply REVOLUTION® to the skin on the back of your cat’s neck ONCE A MONTH all year long  (prevents intestinal worms, heartworm disease, ear and skin mites, and fleas.).

VACCINATION
For adult cats:
1.     FVRCP  - (Herpes, Calici, and Panleukopenia) – every 3 yrs
2.     Rabies vaccination (recombinant DNA) - annually
3.     Feline Leukemia – annual – for cats that go outdoors

DENTAL CARE
1.     Preventative Dental Cleaning (in-hospital) with full mouth dental x-rays – Annual for all cats
2.     Dental Home Care – Brush your cat’s teeth with Maxiguard® once a day with an extra-soft toothbrush designed for cats (CET toothbrush.)
3.     Diet:  Prescription Diet T/D dry.

EARLY DETECTION LAB TESTING
1.     Cats over 6 years of age should have an Adult Early Detection blood chemistry screen, complete blood count (CBC), and thyroid test (T4)  annually as part of annual examination.
2.     All cats should have an annual complete urinalysis (urine specimen) performed as part of the annual examination.

SENIOR CATS – over 7 years of age
Additional screening tests such as blood pressure, chest x-ray, electrocardiogram, abdominal ultrasound, or urine protein-creatinine ratio may be necessary.
